Goths

Recently, I have been interested in hanging out with goths, as you can see from this pic, which comes from this website. This may come as a surprise to those around me, since I am usually happy and out-going, while the usual goth would be sad and not wanting to go out. I have, however, managed to find out some information on what goths are, aside from the stereotypes of hating everything.

1. According to Goth.net, Goth is a subculture that has many different kinds of goths, with the only similarity being the black clothing.
2. Some goths wear makeup, ranging from white powder to black eyeliner.
3. To some, goth can be based on Punk music, such as The Cure, or to thinking about death.
4. Nearly all goths wear piercings, ranging from simple ear and nose piercings to extreme piercings, such as tounge and other body parts.
5. They wear black military boots, although that originates from the punk culture.
6. Almost all goths dye their hair black, or if their hair already is black, into some random color, like purple.

For those wondering why I'm so fascinated with goths, it mostly comes from several recent TV shows, such as Danny Phantom, which featured Sam, a goth who was one of the titular character's best friend (but just to make sure, it does NOT come from American Dad!). Hopefully, I can find at least one female goth in the Imperial Valley, since I wonder how one would react to me.
